Services Offered
The Loss Control and Security Services Branch is responsible for safeguarding customer goods in transit, protecting railway property, preventing theft, conducting preventive patrols and investigations, and ensuring the safety of passengers, personnel, and VIPs. The department also oversees risk assessments, access control, drone surveillance, and the training and development of security staff.
Future services include the installation of CCTV systems at all essential points, as well as cameras and mirrors on locomotives.
Whistle-blower Programme
NRZ Loss Control runs a whistle-blower programme that rewards members of the public who remain anonymous for reporting incidents relating to theft, vandalism and tampering with rail infrastructure, suspicious activities on railway property, information on stolen NRZ property such as copper cables, wagon components, ballast, steel sleepers and transformer components, and any other criminal activities or cases of interest.
