Passenger Services

The National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) offers safe, reliable, and affordable passenger rail services, connecting cities and communities while providing a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience.

Currently, our Passenger Service is limited to once-a-week service between Bulawayo and the majestic Victoria Falls.

The service offers:

  • Economy Class Coaches

  • Sleeper Coaches

Passengers are advised to book Sleeper Coaches in advance to avoid disappointment.

Passenger Train Timetables

Below are the current Passenger Train Timetables for the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ). The schedules indicate the arrival and departure times for each station along the available passenger routes.

Passengers are encouraged to arrive at their departure station well before the scheduled departure time. Train schedules may be subject to change without prior notice. For the latest timetable information, please contact your nearest NRZ Station or Customer Service Office before travelling.

Bulawayo → Victoria Falls

The Bulawayo to Victoria Falls passenger train departs Bulawayo at 19:00 and arrives in Victoria Falls at 08:55. The train stops at Luveve (19:55–19:57), Nyamandlovu (20:42–20:47), Sawmills (21:53–22:12), Gwayi (23:02–23:10), Dete (02:25–03:00), Hwange (04:52–04:53), Thompson Junction (05:15–05:40), and Matetsi (07:25–07:32) before arriving in Victoria Falls.

Victoria Falls → Bulawayo

The Victoria Falls to Bulawayo passenger train departs Victoria Falls at 19:00 and arrives in Bulawayo at 09:00 the following morning. Along the route, it stops at Matetsi (20:18–20:21), Thompson Junction (22:05–22:40), Hwange (23:02–23:03), Dete (01:00–01:40), Gwayi (04:54–04:56), Sawmills (06:10–06:20), Nyamandlovu (07:32–07:42), and Luveve (08:27–08:30) before reaching Bulawayo.
