Railstar Parcel Service
The Railstar Parcel Service is a dedicated parcel transportation service offered by the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ). It provides fast, reliable, and cost-effective overnight parcel delivery within Zimbabwe and to Chicualacuala (Mozambique) and Francistown (Botswana).
Designed to meet customer needs where cost and transit time are of utmost importance, Railstar Parcel Service uses passenger trains to provide an efficient express delivery solution.

What Do We Move?
Railstar Parcel Service transports a wide variety of items, including:

Urgent mail and documents

Perishables
-
Valuable parcels
-
Commercial goods
-
General and household goods
-
Coffins and/or corpses in suitable caskets

Day-old chicks and small live domestic animals in limited numbers
Items are conveyed in covered wagons with a carrying capacity of 37,000 kg and must not exceed the following dimensions:

Maximum floor area: 37.4 square metres

Maximum length: 15,392 mm

Maximum width: 2,527 mm

Maximum height: 2,438 mm
How Are Parcels Conveyed and Dispatched?
Parcels are loaded into lockable covered rail wagons and dispatched on the first available passenger train.
Please note the following conditions:

Each parcel must not weigh more than 125 kg.

Hazardous items or goods that are difficult to handle and may delay loading or offloading en route will not be accepted.

Received parcels are available for collection within 30 minutes of the arrival of the passenger train.
Which Stations Accept and Receive Parcels?
Goods can be tendered for conveyance to and received at any point or station on the NRZ railway network countrywide.
Major routes provide Railstar Parcel Services, and by special arrangement, parcels can also be accepted or collected at designated sidings and halts for your convenience.
