About this project

The National Railways of Zimbabwe's Engineering Services are delivered through Inter Rail Tech, a Strategic Business Unit operating some of the largest integrated mechanical and electrical workshops in Southern Africa. Our facilities provide comprehensive engineering solutions for the railway, mining, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, combining decades of technical expertise with modern engineering practices.

Our engineering capabilities include the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and overhaul of locomotives, wagons, passenger coaches, and cabooses. We also provide fabrication, machining, foundry services, armature winding, plant and equipment hire, transformer services, specialized welding, and the manufacture of railway and industrial components that support critical infrastructure across Zimbabwe.
